There are many Jamaican or Caribbean restaurants in Maryland and DC. The Tropicana Restaurant on Georgia Avenue is one of my favorites.
Located on the line between DC and Silver Spring, Tropicana serves all the usual favorites including jerk, curry, and ox-tail.
My personal favorite is curried shrimp with rice and peas. My husband's preferences are either curried goat or ox-tail with rice & peas.
