No Tv or Internet!

I'm finally moving on Saturday.  Its a new community that includes cable and internet in the HOA fee so you have to deal with specific people.  They are not able to set up our service until next week Wednesday.  I am so dreading this.  No TV, No Internet, No Phone for 4 days!  How will we survive?    I guess I will have no distractions to prevent me from unpacking.

Read a good book and you will be happy NOT to have TV, phone and Internet for a few days.  Look at it as a vacation.

I'm with Anne. It might be kind of a nice change of pace.

pick up a couple ov dvd's if you need the background noise of the Tv, turn on the radio and unpack to the music, then sit down and unwind with a good book. enjoy the new home!

This will be an adventure.  Think of it as an experiment going back in time.  Let us know how you make out.

When I saw the title- I thought you were talking about how you punish your kids- No TV ro internet!!  Think of the break as a forced mini-vacation from the intrusions of our hooked up world.

Stacey-TV, I can live without especially now that NBA and NFL are off. I am with Roland. I will be lost without my internet. Oh well! 4 days will be up before you know it.

No TV I can deal with but no internet is pushing on my insanity level.  Of course I perfer reading personally and you can always watch DVD's if you don't feel like unpacking!

At least it's the weekend.  Unless you like infomercials and reruns you're not missing anything on TV.  If you use a laptop maybe you can grab an unsecured wireless signal floating around your neighborhood (there seems to always be one).  I say pump up the stereo and unpack!

TV, I can take it or leave it.  You could hook up the DVD and rent some movies.  The Internet though would drive me crazy!  Id be bribing somebody to get the internet sooner.

Yvette, Roland, Hans, Robert  - I used to think TV was worse but for me the internet is really the one I think that will drive me crazy.

Carol - Its actually going to punish me that the kids won't have these for several days.  I have to dust off my craft projects.

Tracy - its a new community so not that many houses but i'm certainly going to see what's out there.  You know I heard somewhere that its illegal to use someone else's wireless.

Chad - Believe me i've tried bribery:)

Well today is the day! Hope the move is going along smoothly. I also hope that you have a radio which helps if you do not have a TV to drown out back noises.  Just remember you will SURVIVE!!

Teresa - we do have radio (thankfully).  At least it will encourage me to go to work so I can check my email.  The move is going along well right now.

That actually sounds kinda nice! We went camping a couple weeks ago and I went a whole week without internet and my hubby thought I'd go nuts but I didn't miss it a bit! (I did have fun catching up coming home though!!!!)

Posted by Lindsey Hasford (Coldwell Banker Vision) about 1 year ago

Lindsey - I am defintely going nuts.  Its a good incentive to go into the office.

Sounds like a great time to visit family or a hotel with wireless!!  Stay sane!

Get to know your neighbors, read a good book, spend the time settling in. I love times with no electronics.

Deborah - I was seriously contemplating it.

Cheri - There aren't too many neighbors yet.  I did get some good reading done though.
