Random thoughts from a six year old

I thought this was a funny story and wanted to share.  My brother is a DJ in Jamaica where parties can sometimes go on all night.  My daughter wanted to talk to him the other morning.  My mom told her not to wake him up.  Sydney asks why she couldn't wake him since it was 11am.  My mom patiently explained that Uncle Stephen works at night and sleeps during the day, and my daughter in all her wisdom says "Oh, I get it.  He's nocturnal!"

Stacey,

This is so funny. Your daughter is so right as she demonstrates some solid knowledge. I guess you had a very good laugh. Keep posting jewels like these.

Thanks

That's so cute! I love those little things that kids say. My son has had plenty lately!

Ahh...from the mouths of babes. I bet Uncle Stephen got a kick out of that one!

I'm curious, how old is your daughter?  I have a 5 yr. old, and if she said something like that I would just die from the laughter.  She keeps us rolling on the floor many times as it is, and when she pulls out words that we feel she shouldn't know yet, it is always so...awesome!  As the show says...kids say the darndest things!  Is there a group for us parents to share all of the wit our children spew out of their mouths?

Jon & Lindsey - I'm always amazed with the things that come out of the mouths of my kids.

Jim - I think Uncle Stephen is getting a kick out of spending some quality time with his niece and nephew in general.

Gregory - Sydney is 6.  She cracks me up constantly.  Check out the "Agent Mom" and "Family Ties" groups.

Haaa! Don't you just love the Discovery Channel? How about Animal Planet? Our kids are picking up so many interesting phrases these days. That was too funny! Stacey-Ann, I loved your post! What a great way to start the day.  ;-D

I would be afraid, very afraid and impressed at the same time!  I remember being sun burned when my daughter was three.  She said, "Don't you know you are supposed to wear sunscreen."  Now she is turning 14 in a few days.  It has only gotten worse better!
