We had a great loan officer in our office who left. I've been trying out a few others to see if I like them so that I can have a trusted loan officer that I can depend on.
There was one man who came recommended from some other agents. My husband called him about doing a possible refinance on our home. He knew that this was my husband. He acknowledged that it might be tough to get it done because of when we bought but he told my husband he would run some numbers and call him back.
10 days later we have never heard back from him.
This is not a great way to inspire confidence and get referrals. If this is how you treat my personal loan what will happen to my clients?
So, i'm still on the hunt for a good loan officer.

FINALLY! A DOCTOR WHO MAKES HOUSE-CALLS!

Keep looking there are plenty of great lenders still around. As the market continues to tighten hopefully those that underperform will find new employment options.
In today's world response times are in a matter of minutes, not hours....and surely not days.
Stacey-Ann look no further than Rebecca Cole. In all my years I have never worked with such a diligent, knowledgeable loan officer who goes above and beyond for all her clients. She is amazing with all of the first time homebuyer programs too. You will NOT be disappointed.
Hi Stacey-Ann! 10 days !! It never ceases to amaze me, that you do not even get called back! Keep looking. I'm with you ~ not impressed.
Geeze -- for sure not a way to get business -- likely you have already decided to move on -- All the best.
It is all about managing expectations. If you are going to promise results, then follow through.
That is not to good :-(
Are you sure he got the message?

Brett - I'm sure there are many wonderful lenders
Tim - I agree, people expect to be responded to right away
Ellie - I will check her out, she's in our group too
Mary - definitely not impressed
Bob & Carolin - definitely not a good way to get business
Ryan - follow through is key
Charles - my husband spoke to him personally so he certainly got the message
That is definitely NOT the way to earn referrals, that's for sure. That's simply inexcusable. Next!
